Legendary Compton, California producer/emcee DJ Quik has announced that he's releasing his latest solo album, The Book of David, on April 20. The album partially takes its name from the veteran's government name, David Blake. DubCNN.com reports that the longtime Profile Records star, who later found success at Arista and as a Death Row Records producer's latest album will feature longtime collaborator Suga Free.
Book of David will reportedly include the new single, "Luv Of My Life" , featuring Gift Reynolds.
In 2009, Quik teamed with Kurupt to release BlaQKout on Mad Science Recordings. The producer for Tupac, Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg last released Trauma in 2005, in his solo catalog.
